Why we built this

Pathology should stay in the hands of pathologists.

The pressure on small practices has one predictable ending: sale to a corporate owner, and clinical decisions made a little further from the bench every year. We built the alternative we would want offered to us.

A stand against the corporate practice of medicine Every practice that sells to a private equity platform moves medicine one step further from the physicians practicing it. Affiliation leaves ownership, judgment and the name on the door where they are.
A succession option that is not private equity Retirement should not force a choice between winding a practice down and handing it to a corporate buyer. Affiliation lets a practice outlast its founder, and lets a founder step back on his own timeline.
A partnership, not a purchase For most practices this is a services agreement and nothing more — we run the business, you keep the practice. Where a sale is genuinely the right answer, that is a separate conversation, and it is your call to open it.
What ownership costs now

Three pressures on every independent practice.

1 The work you trained for is not the work filling your day. Practice ownership now means payroll, credentialing, denials, vendor contracts, and an accreditation calendar that never stops.
2 Billing has become its own profession. Coding scrutiny, prior authorization, denial management, and payor contract terms move faster than any small practice can track.
3 The cost of staying current keeps rising. Laboratory information systems, cybersecurity, quality programs, and compliance infrastructure are priced for organizations far larger than yours.
What we do

Management and administrative services.

Eight functions, run by people who do only this. Every one of them is a business function — clinical decisions remain with the practice.

Revenue cycle Claims, coding review, denials, appeals, and collections, managed end to end.
Payor contracting Contract analysis, negotiation support, and enrollment across commercial and government plans.
Compliance and accreditation CLIA and CAP readiness, quality programs, and ongoing regulatory support.
Technology Laboratory information systems, integrations, security, and support.
Administration Human resources, payroll, benefits administration, and non-clinical staffing.
Purchasing Vendor negotiation and supply agreements at network scale.
Finance Bookkeeping, reporting, and budgeting built for a pathology practice.
Growth Marketing, client service, and outreach support for the practice’s own referral relationships.
What stays yours

Affiliation does not require a sale.

The practice remains yours: your name, your patients, your professional judgment, and your decisions about how medicine is practiced.

How affiliation works

Four steps, at your pace.

1 Conversation A confidential discussion about your practice and what is and is not working.
2 Assessment We review operations, billing performance, and payor mix, and share what we find.
3 Proposal A written scope of services and terms, tailored to your practice.
4 Transition A staged handoff of administrative functions, on a timeline that protects continuity.
Who we work with

Independent practices across Texas.

We work with independent pathology practices across Texas — solo practitioners, small groups, and practices facing a succession decision. If you are weighing whether independence is still viable, that is the conversation worth having.
