A pathology group your medical staff treats as its own.

Texas Pathology Consultants provides anatomic and clinical pathology, laboratory medical directorship, and departmental leadership to community hospitals across North Texas — physicians who are in the building, on the committees, and reachable by name.

Pathology services

What the hospital contract covers.

Board-certified anatomic and clinical pathology with subspecialty reporting, delivered by physicians who actively participate in laboratory management, medical staff committees, tumor boards, and specialty societies.

Anatomic pathology Surgical pathology and cytopathology for the full range of hospital work, read on-site.
Clinical pathology Chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank and transfusion medicine oversight.
Laboratory medical directorship A named physician director accountable for the laboratory, its quality programs and its inspections.
Departmental leadership Chair of the department of pathology, with the committee work and reporting that comes with it.
Medical staff committees We sit where laboratory decisions are made, so problems are raised and resolved rather than escalated.
Tumor boards Case presentation and participation alongside your surgeons, oncologists and radiologists.
Subspecialty consultation Further opinions read by digital slide, without the case leaving the practice.
Accreditation support CLIA and CAP readiness, reciprocal inspections, and the accreditation calendar kept on schedule.
Working with us

What it is like to have us as your pathology group.

A physician who is in the building Our pathologists practice on-site. Your surgeons and hospitalists know who read the case and can find them the same day.
Directorship that shows up Medical direction is not a signature on a document. It is committee attendance, quality review and the accreditation calendar, handled.
Coverage without gaps A group large enough to cover vacations, volume spikes and difficult cases — small enough that you are not routed through a call center.
Subspecialty reporting

Every case is read by a pathologist trained for it.

Who reads what →
Cytopathology Subspecialty-certified reporting, including fine-needle aspiration and fluid cytology.
Hematopathology Subspecialty-certified, combined with flow cytometry expertise.
Surgical pathology Fellowship-trained, across routine and complex resections.
Flow cytometry Fellowship-trained interpretation alongside hematopathology reporting.
Molecular pathology Molecular diagnostics with reference partners where a send-out is indicated.
General anatomic and clinical Board-certified AP/CP across the full range of hospital laboratory work.

Our pathologists are board-certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and read the full range of hospital and clinic work. The coverage above reflects the subspecialty certifications and fellowship training they hold in addition, and the colleagues available to us for consultation.

How we work

Four commitments we are willing to be measured against.

1 Somebody’s name is on every report A diagnosis is a piece of writing, and a physician is accountable for every word of it. You will always know who read the case.
2 We answer before we are chased Most calls into a laboratory are asking where a case is. We would rather the report arrive first — so we report cases quickly and get results back while they still change what happens next.
3 We are selected for empathy Team members are chosen for their care for others as much as their credentials. We deliver necessary information clearly and respectfully, meeting people where they are.
4 We stay in the room Our physicians sit on the medical staff committees where laboratory decisions are made, so problems are raised and resolved rather than escalated and forgotten.

Directorship, coverage, turnaround, a difficult transition — we would rather have the conversation than send you a brochure.
