We pick it up, we read it, and you can see where it is.

Texas Pathology Laboratory handles the logistics around your specimens — courier, requisitions, and tracking — and your cases are read by the same pathologists who serve our hospitals. Tell us what you send and we will arrange the logistics around it.

Laboratory services

What we set up for your clinic.

Specimens from your clinic are read by pathologists in our network, and every case is tracked from collection through to reported results — so your staff can see where a specimen is without calling anyone.

Specimen logistics Courier pickup on a schedule that suits your clinic, or supplies and packaging so your staff can send specimens out themselves — with a chain of custody either way.
Requisitions and packing lists Requisitions built for what you send, and packing lists your staff can reconcile at the end of the day.
Case tracking in PathReport Every case visible from pickup through to reported results, without a phone call.
Reported results to your queue Results delivered where your staff already works, in the format your record system expects.
Read by our own pathologists The same physicians who serve our hospitals read your clinic cases, and will discuss them with you.
Onboarding and supplies Containers, forms and staff orientation set up before the first specimen moves.
PathReport

Nobody should have to call to ask where a specimen is.

Most calls into a laboratory are asking the same question. PathReport answers it before it is asked: every case your clinic sends is tracked from pickup through accessioning to reported results, visible to your staff in one place.

Collected Logged at your clinic and picked up on schedule
In transit Chain of custody visible to your staff
Accessioned Received, matched to the requisition and assigned
Reported Result released to your queue and to the record
Working with us

What it is like to send us your specimens.

Your staff stops chasing cases The most common call into any laboratory asks where a specimen is. Your staff can answer that themselves, in PathReport.
You can reach the pathologist When a result needs a conversation, you talk to the physician who read the case — not to a service line.
We build around your clinic Pickup times, requisition design and result delivery are set up to fit how your clinic already runs.
How we work

Four commitments we are willing to be measured against.

1 Somebody’s name is on every report A diagnosis is a piece of writing, and a physician is accountable for every word of it. You will always know who read the case.
2 We answer before we are chased Most calls into a laboratory are asking where a case is. We would rather the report arrive first — so we report cases quickly and get results back while they still change what happens next.
3 We are selected for empathy Team members are chosen for their care for others as much as their credentials. We deliver necessary information clearly and respectfully, meeting people where they are.
4 We stay in the room Our physicians sit on the medical staff committees where laboratory decisions are made, so problems are raised and resolved rather than escalated and forgotten.
Referring clinics

Tell us what you send.

Volume, specimen types, pickup times and where results need to land — we will build the logistics around your clinic, not ours.
