Practice pathology without a head office.

We are physician-owned. Decisions about how the laboratory runs are made by the people who work in it, usually in one conversation. We are looking for a pathologist.

Why an independent group

Be all you were trained to be.

Our pathologists are generalists — here you see the full spectrum of pathology, not one narrow slice of it.

Physician-owned There is no head office to persuade and no regional director to wait for.
Daily conference Real appreciation from the clinical colleagues around you — we sit down together every day and work the difficult cases out between us.
Real appointments Our pathologists hold laboratory directorships and departmental chairs — these are practicing roles, not honorifics.
Software built for you We built PathReport ourselves, which means the workflow bends to how the bench actually works rather than the reverse.
Academic room Publication, teaching and society service are supported, not tolerated.
Fort Worth A city with a low cost of living, an international airport, and no state income tax.
Open positions

One role open, and it is the one that matters most.

Applications go to a physician, not an applicant tracking system. If your background fits, you will hear from us directly.

Pathologist, AP/CP certified Fort Worth, Texas · hospital and outpatient practice · full time
Full time · hospital and outpatient −

Texas Pathology Consultants invites an AP/CP certified pathologist to join our small group, which serves the patients and physicians of our suburban community in both hospital and outpatient settings. An empathic, caring individual who enjoys collegial interactions and work–life balance will fit comfortably in our practice culture.

What the role is —Anatomic and clinical pathology across both hospital and outpatient work — the full range our community sends us. —Frozen sections, intraoperative consultation and tumor board participation. —Clinical pathology responsibilities alongside the group’s existing physicians. —Direct, collegial contact with the referring physicians who send us their patients’ cases. —A share of medical staff and committee service, because our pathologists sit where laboratory decisions are made.
What we are looking for —MD or DO, board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. —Subspecialty training — especially in dermatopathology, breast pathology or GI and liver pathology — would complement the group’s existing expertise nicely, but is not required. —Experienced pathologists and fellows completing training are both encouraged to apply. —Texas medical license, or eligibility to obtain one before the start date.
Location Fort Worth, Texas — a suburban community practice
Setting Hospital and outpatient
The group Small, physician-owned, and independent by choice
Subspecialty interest Dermatopathology, breast, GI and liver — welcome, not required
Who should apply Experienced pathologists and fellows completing training
Apply for this role Send a CV and a short note. No cover-letter template required.
No opening that fits?

A group this size can create a role for the right person more easily than it can fill a vacancy with the wrong one. If you are a pathologist, a histotechnologist or an experienced laboratory manager, we would like to know you.
